Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Program (LaCHIP)

The Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Program (LaCHIP) helps children up to age 19 who are uninsured by providing them health coverage. This program effectively pays for their doctor visits, prescription of drugs and hospital care.

To be eligible for LaCHIP, you must
  • not have health insurance
  • under the age of 19

LaMOMS provides health coverage to married or single pregnant women. This program will take care of their expenses of Doctor visits, prescription of medicines, lab work, delivery and hospital care.
